Palaces and Parliaments

Today we walked along Royal Mile in the direction of the new Scottish Parliament building.  But on the way we encountered the most amazing assortment of buskers and hustlers, promoters and players, many kitted out in costume, all thrusting flyers for an assortment of Fringe Festival shows: comedy, musicals, plays, music performances.

The normally reticent Mr. Wood even agreed to ask one to have her photo taken with him.

Sorry. Still getting the hang of this new widget.

Along the Royal Mile this column was dated 1128.

There were so many characters and the whole road was teeming with touts and tourists.  It was wonderful.
