Tonight we saw this, which was voted Best Musical for 2014. It was wonderful. Set in the early 1900s meant wonderful costumes. The choreography and singing were masterful. The whole thing was a wonderful delight.
We stopped at nearby Times Square first, as it was just dusk and the lights were looking amazing against the darkening sky. We could not believe the crowds. During the day there seemed a lot of people about, but now the place was teeming.
After the show, we stepped out into the still warm air and back to Times Square, we were lucky enough to snag a table and two chairs when a couple right near us left. At eleven at night, it is still packed with people. There are a variety of characters you can pay to have your photo taken with ... two bunny girls, State of Liberty, batman, superman, Mickey Mouse, etc..
But as it was now truly dark, the light from the various billboards were amazing. They flash, and roll, we were just go smacked at the display. You could sit there and easily read. It was like sitting in daylight. Everywhere you looked was advertising signs. And people.
Another enormous day, with so many different sights.
It's not called the City That Never Sleeps for nothing. Looks like you are having a great time. You are wearing me out!!!
