NO WORK FOR AGES

I have worked part-time - 3 days a week - for years.
The Christmas holidays - six weeks - always seem a long time at the beginning (but fly past so quickly).

Today was my last day at work until October.

That seems ages away.

We have been thinking of this trip for two years.  We've been planning it for months now.  My last day of work is one of the steps along the way toward the trip becoming a reality.  Not long to go now.  I am really starting to feel excited.

Getting Closer

Am I ready?  Not yet.  I have a fair idea what clothes to pack.  And shoes.  Still undecided about cameras.  I can't find a new toiletry bag I like.  I want a soft one to squoosh into spare gaps in the suitcase.  But all I find are rigid-sided ones, all in patterns I don't like.  One important item is reading matter.  I have a small stack of books which, once read on holidays, I will liberate - hoping some other reader finds it, enjoys it too, then maybe passes it on to someone else or even leaves it, like I did, for another person to find.

Marilyn's Learning to Blog

Our trip is a month away. With daughter Delanie a keen blogger, I am getting lessons from this expert on how to blog. It's a totally new experience for me. So much to learn. I hope to be able to post new entries regularly during our 9 weeks away. Surely someone will miss me and want to know what I am up to.
